London, UK, 22.05.2024: Pledge has been chosen to support members with sustainability expertise by both the Freight and Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Canadian International Freight Forwarder Association (CIFFA), extending its global reach among freight forwarding associations.

FTA and CIFFA have embedded the Pledge Freight Emissions Calculator into their websites, granting members the chance to trial Pledge’s carbon emissions calculation capabilities without needing to sign up to the Pledge platform.

“Pledge is committed to providing emissions measurement and reporting solutions to freight forwarders across the globe,” said David de Picciotto, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-founder, Pledge.

“Being chosen by both FTA and CIFFA to support their members with their sustainability requirements marks an important step for Pledge - as we start working with associations outside of the UK and Europe, we’ll be better positioned to offer forwarders access to the tools and knowledge they need to decarbonise their customers’ supply chains.”

Pledge’s calculator allows users to trial Pledge’s leading carbon emissions technology, helping them understand their customers’ freight emissions across various transport modes, globally.

“We are proud to partner with Pledge to further our commitment to our members and support their initiatives to maximise positive sustainable outcomes,” said Bruce Rodgers, Executive Director, CIFFA.

“Through this relationship, CIFFA will provide its members with educational sustainability tools and solutions to assist in the tracking, analysis, and reporting of environmental metrics.”

To ensure a precise and comprehensive emissions calculation, users can add more shipment details, including stopovers, transshipments, and specific vessel codes.

“FTA is delighted to announce our partnership with Pledge, a pioneer in supply chain transparency and sustainability,” said Sal Milici, General Manager of Trade Policy and Operations, FTA.

“This partnership aligns with our mission to empower our members with innovative solutions.

“By joining forces with Pledge, we're raising awareness about the importance of sustainability in global trade.”

Pledge will be attending this year’s Multimodal event, the UK largest freight and logistics event, as its Official Sustainability Partner - find out more here.
